In his address, the Chairman reflected on the sacrifices made by the founding fathers of our nation who stood firm in their agitation for self-rule to have a country called Nigeria. "Undoubtedly, the journey towards attainment of independence had been very thorny and undulating. But our nationalists, through shared patriotism, commitment, and resilience, had weathered the storm for us to have a sovereign nation," the Chairman stated.

Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for making the state a haven for peace and development. He reiterated his commitment to continue working closely with Governor Mutfwang to drive more development in Qua'an-Pan.

Earlier, the Plateau State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nicholas  Baamlong, commended the Chairman for organizing a march past in honoring Nigeria's independence, which had been ignored for over a decade by the previous administration. He praised the Chairman for ensuring peace in Qua'an-Pan and Governor Mutfwang for supporting the local government in strengthening security following recent attacks in some communities.
