QUAAN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN HOSTS GRAND RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF NEWLY SWORN-IN COMMISSIONERS FROM QUAAN-PAN




The Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship (Wallat), hosted a grand reception in honor of the newly sworn-in commissioners from Quaan-Pan, Hon. Cornelius Doeyok, Commissioner for Tourism, Culture and hospitality, and Hon. Dr. Nicholas Baamlong, Commissioner for Health. The event took place at Jongrand Hotel along Bukuru Express,Jos. 


In a gesture of goodwill and cooperation, the council chairman, represented by his Deputy, Hon. Chrysantus Parlong Kangshal, congratulated the newly sworn-in commissioners on their appointment by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Bar. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and subsequently their swearing-in  to serve  Plateau State. He acknowledged the weight of responsibility that comes with public office and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the people.


The Chairman also acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing commissioners from Quaan-Pan, Hon Chrysantus Dawam and Hon Jamila Tukur, former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning and Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, respectively, to the development of Plateau State. He wished them well in their future endeavors, recognizing their efforts in shaping the state's progress.


In his remarks, the Chairman stated that he hosted the reception to celebrate the illustrious sons of his local government and to advise and encourage them to deliver in their respective ministries. He expressed his gratitude to the Executive Governor for selecting the commissioners and assured him of their commitment to give their best to the administration.


Speaking on behalf of Qua'an-Pan State Legislators, Member representing Quaan-Pan North constituency, Engr. Owen Karyit Dagogot, welcomed the newly sworn-in commissioners, encouraging them to leverage their expertise and experience to drive growth and progress in Plateau State.


On behalf of the traditional rulers of Qua'an-Pan, the Long Pan, represented by Long Bwall HRH Nda Jerom, conveyed their warmest congratulations to the newly sworn-in commissioners. He charged them to exercise wisdom and integrity in their respective offices, leveraging their positions to promote the welfare and development of Qua'an-Pan and Plateau State at large.


Hon. Cornelius Doeyok, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Governor for the appointment. He noted that there were others who were equally qualified, but God chose him for the position. He assured the gathering of his commitment to contribute his quota to the development of Plateau State, ensuring that Quaan-Pan remains united and emerges as one of the best local governments.


Dr. Nicholas Baamlong, Commissioner for Health, also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for finding him worthy to serve as a member of his Executive Council. He thanked the council chairman for his generous support in hosting a handsome reception in their honor. He reaffirmed his commitment to work in line with the Governor's philosophy of "THE TIME IS NOW " to move Plateau State forward, assuring the council chairman of his support for the people of Qua'an-Pan and his efforts to unite the local government for the progress of its citizens.
