The Legend ( Lucky Dube)
Lucky Phillip Hlatshwayo was born on 3rd August 1964 in Ermelo, Mpumalanga a Province of South Africa. He later grew up in eMadadeni, New Castle in Kwazulu Natal and he adopted his mothers surname, Dube. Growing up in the farms of Mpumalanga fending for himself where he experienced a lot of pain at the hands of White Boers during the apartheid era and he was exposed to the slave and master relationship with his employers and neighbouring farms. He was not just an overnight success but he was shaped by these circumstances to become who he was. His Father left him at a young age, hence the song "Remember me wherever you are I love you" was birthed .Eish, magents we lost a legend and a unique human being, a Rastafarian prophet ❤️💛💚, a voice for the oppressed💪, a freedom fighter👊 who did not follow a political party but fought for his people using his talent of writing good reggae music🎵🎸🎷, a very smooth reggae voice in the world of music👌 and last but not least a good father and husband to Zanele Mdluli Dube and children Bongi, Nkulee and Thokozani❤️😎💯🇿🇦
